The Saudi Arabia Embassy First Secretary Majed Hassan Ashoor, who was accused of raping two Nepali women, has left India under diplomatic immunity.
According to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India, spokesperson Vikas Swarup, the Saudi diplomat has left India.
Ashoor, 50, was living at the Embassy premises after Indian Police rescued two Nepalis from his apartment following the complaint from the local NGO in Gurgaon on September 7.
MEA had also asked the Saudi Embassy to cooperate with the investigations. However, the Saudi diplomat managed to escape the country after 10 days when the local police filed a FIR.
