The election for the new president of the country has concluded at 2pm in the Legislature Parliament Hall in New Baneshwor on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
Altogether, 549 out of 597 lawmakers casted their votes at the Presidential Election.
CPN (UML) vice chairperson Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Kul Bahadur Gurung are the two candidates for the head of the state.
A candidate should get 299 votes to be the next president of Nepal. The voting process was started at 2pm.
The House Speaker is scheduled to announce the result of the Election at 5pm, today.
