Defending champion Railway Team India, Nepal Police Club (NPC), Armed Police Force (APF) and Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) have advanced to the semi-final of the 4th Prime Minister Indo-Nepal Women’s Volleyball Championship 2017.
Railway India and NPC have made it through semis from Group A while Army and APF are from Group B.
Railway India beat host Mid-Western Region Volleyball team in three straight sets with 25-8, 25-3, 25-7 in the second day while Police also defeated host Mid-Western in 25-11, 25-8, 25-17 straight sets on Monday.
Similarly, Army had beaten India’s Barsat Association in 25-17, 25-19, 25-17 straight sets. In the last group stage match, APF defeated Army 25-4, 25-8, 25-9 to top Group B.
Group A – Railway India, Nepal Police, host Mid-Western Region
Group B – APF, Tribhuvan Army Club, Barsat Association
The winner will bag Rs 111,000 while runner-up will get Rs 55,000 and third place Rs 35,000.
