New Diamond Academy and host Armed Police Force (APF) will vie for the title of the 4th APF IGP National Open Women’s Volleyball Tournament at APF Volleyball Court in Halchowk, Kathmandu on Thursday, February, 2017.
In the semi-final matches held on Wednesday, New Diamond defeated Nepal Police Club (NPC) in three straight sets 25-19, 19-25, 25-16, 25-13 to make it to final round.
New Diamond’s Prativa Mali, woman of the match, was honoured by Nepal Volleyball Association’s vice-president Yam bahadur Gurung.
Similarly, host APF also registered 3-0 victory with 25-14, 25-10, 25-12 to set final clash with New Diamond.
APF’s Nebika Chaudhary was announced woman of the match. The Association’s general secretary Jitendra bahadur Chand handed over the woman of the match trophy to Chaudhary.
Altogether six teams including - APF, New Diamond and Jawalakhel while Nepal Police Club, Western Region and Tribhuvan Army Club were in the competition.
The winner between these two teams will get the cash prize of Rs 250,000 while runner-up will receive Rs 125,000 and third place Rs 50,000. The best performers in different categories will also get Rs 5,000 each.
