Nepal faced yet another defeat, making fifth in a row, in the ongoing 2nd Blind Cricket T20 World Cup in Pune, India, on Sunday, February 5, 2017.
In the match held Pune PYC Ground today, Nepal lost Sri Lanka by huge 131 runs in its sixth match of the tournament.
In its previous matches, Nepal lost against Australia by 10 wickets, Bangladesh by 59 runs, Pakistan by 10 wickets and West Indies by 43 runs. However, it had registered a six wickets win over South Africa.
While chasing the target, Nepal scored only 143 runs against the huge target of 275 runs posted by Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka had scored 274 runs with the loss of two wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Sunil Thapa Magar scored 38 runs off 30 balls while skipper Kirtan Shrestha made 37 runs off 47 balls and Padam bahadur Badaula 23 runs off 18 balls.
Sri Lankan batsman Suranga Sampath made a century with 111 runs off 48 balls. He scored 19 boundaries and a six. Ruwan Wasantha also made half-century scoring 76 runs off 41 balls. He registered eight boundaries in his name. Both the players of Sri Lanka were bowled out.
