The 21st Budha Subba Red Bull Gold Cup Tournament has been rescheduled to kick off from Sunday, February 10, 2019.
The organiser Dharan Football Club decided to postpone the tournament due to incessant rainfall that could worsen the nature of the football field. The tournament was supposed to start at Dharan Stadium, Dharan-16, from Saturday, February 9, 2019.
As per the plan, National Sports Council (NSC) member-secretary Keshav Kumar Bista will inaugurate a week-long event. Similarly, the inaugural match between Sankata Club and Mechi Netalaya is also scheduled for Sunday.
GROUP A - Sankata Club (KTM), Mechi Netalaya (Jhapa), Manang Marshyandi Club (MMC-KTM) and Dalphinas (Cameroon)
GROUP B - Nepal Police Club (NPC-KTM), Sahara Club (Pokhara), host Dharan Football Club and Dalhousie Athletic (Kolkata)
The winner team will bag prize money of Rs 800,000 while runner-up will win Rs 400,000. Similarly, best player of the tournament will get Honda’s Deo Scooter.
Likewise, highest scorer will be awarded with Rs 35,000 while best coach, striker, defense, goalkeeper and mid-fielder will get Rs 25,000. The man-of-the-match of each game and a rising player will earn Rs 15,000.
The organiser has fixed the ticket price at Rs 110, Rs 210 and Rs 310 for quarter-finals, Semi-finals and final, respectively. The organiser also planned to award one lucky ticket with Honda’s Navi Scooter on the concluding ceremony.
